5 Tips to Improve Your Energy This Winter

I don’t know where you may live, but here it’s getting cold outside, and the days are getting shorter. Seasonal depression is a real struggle for me, and my sleep and diet tend to suffer for it. So I outlined the ways I try to feel better during the winter. I can’t get rid of the cold for you, but I can hopefully give you a few tips to help you fell more energy and be more productive.

  1. Set an alarm for a morning walk

Just 10 minutes of sun exposure everyday can improve your energy levels, and fresh air first thing in the morning will wake you up.

  2. Supplement

Vitamin D, B Vitamins, can all improve energy levels. Throw in Primal Sleep, and get help having a good night’s rest while also getting Valerian Root to help you feel calm when you wake up.

  3. Look after your digestion

Yes it’s chili and cornbread season, and a little of what you like is perfectly healthy….. But hibernating and eating junk will only make you feel worse Stick to the 80/20 rule for a healthy, happy diet.

  4. Avoid stimulants when possible.

Keep caffein limited to 1-2 cups in the morning. Too much caffeine / drinking it late can hinder your sleep and mess your energy levels.

  5. Have a strict routine.

You should have a daily routine from wake up time to bed time. And a weekly routine, staying organized with grocery shopping, food prep, and workout routine. Staying to your routines cuts down on exhaustion and burn out.
